Meeting Minutes

Neighbors,

We have started posting the meeting minutes in the discussion forums. This will include general meetings, and the board meetings. If you’d like to see what was discussed, please register and login to the discussion forums. Once your account has been approved you will see a forum toward the bottom that is titled “Meeting Minutes”. All of the documents will be contained there. You will not be able to reply to the message, only download the content. If you have any problems or questions feel free to contact Adam or John. Thanks.

Halloween Party

Neighbors,
Jennifer Brown wanted to remind you that 3rd Annual Halloween Party is coming up on Sat. Oct 23. Please check your email for the evite and what to bring. We will have lots of games, food, and a raffle. We hope to see you all there!

4th of July Party

Everyone is invited out to the fourth of July party which will be held in front of Jason Shanabarger’s house on the West side of Natalie Commons. Bring an appetizer, dessert, or drink and join us. It probably wouldn’t hurt to bring your own chair. The party begins around 6pm to be followed by fireworks when it gets dark. We hope to see everyone out there.

Pool is Open

The community pool, which was in danger of closing early, is open for the full summer season. Thanks to neighbors, we have the funds to secure a full season. We have also installed a new lock and gate around the pool that will require every resident to have a key. If you have not gotten your key yet please contact Jen Brown or John Dale. Please read the pool rules that are posted at the gate before you enter. Enjoy the pool!

Landscape Donations

Thanks to Adams Homes and neighbor Jamey Tompkins we received 100 bales of pine needles to spread over the common areas. A huge thanks to the neighbors who have spent a portion of their Saturdays to beautify the neighborhood. Thanks to all parties in taking pride in the Villages of Denver!

Landscaping 2010

Several neighbors met and under the guidance of the Landscape Committee and John Dale to form up a weekly team of volunteers to keep the neighborhood looking nice. Every week volunteers are mowing the entrance ways, common areas, pool grounds, and a couple of the vacant lots. We hope that the savings of over $7000.00 will help our budget situation and keep the pool open. We need more volunteers to help us with our weekly tasks. Please call John Dale or email the landscape committee. Some neighbors have already donated gas cards, flowers, and pine needles. Please thank all of the volunteers you see for doing such a great job. Finally, we ask that if you live beside or across from a vacant lot, that you please weed-eat or mow that lot 4 feet back. Thanks for keeping VoD looking great!

Easter in VoD

The Easter egg hunt was a huge success.  We were very pleased to see so many neighbors come out to enjoy the pancake breakfast and egg hunt.  The kids all seemed to enjoy themselves.  There will be pictures to follow shortly.  Please check the gallery for more.

Alan gives rides in a helicopter to the neighbors.

Neighbor Alan Brown recently had the opportunity to bring a helicopter from work to the neighborhood. It was a last minute venture; however, several of the neighborhood kids and parents got to go see it. Several f those neighbors got to go up in the air and view our beautiful neighborhood from the air. Thanks to Alan and his bosses who donated their time to bring such a cool event to our neighborhood. We sincerely hope this was an opportunity to increase awareness in aviation and that this event would expose the kids to the great opportunities that are out there.
